Insights into Project Management Institute Certifications

Rory McCorkle is a Product Manager of Credentials at the Project Management Institute (PMI), Rory is responsible for the Project Management Professional (PMP)^® credential, the most recognized project management certification in the world with over 460,000 credential holders in more than 180 countries. In this role, Rory supports the adoption of the credential by practitioners and organizations, while being responsible for the credential’s brand, structure, and quality.

Previous to working at PMI, Rory worked as a test developer at Prometric. In this role, he consulted with certification and licensure organizations to guide credential development activities.

Rory graduated magna cum laude from Millersville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He also received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Drexel University, specializing in Marketing. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Organizational Leadership at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Rory is also an adjunct faculty member at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

Priya Sethuraman is also a Product Manager of Credentials at the Project Management Institute (PMI), Priya is responsible for the Project Management Institute Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)^®, Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)^® and PMI’s newest certification: the PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)^SM.

In this role, Priya supports the adoption of the credential by practitioners and organizations, while being responsible for the credential’s brand, structure, and quality. Priya joined PMI in 2007.

Prior to working in the Certification Department with PMI, Priya started in PMI’s Human Resources department responsible for all global Employment activity as well as providing Human Resources Generalist support to the Global Business Units including PMI’s China and India offices.

Priya graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She also received a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Cabrini College.
