Diana Merenda Diana Merenda, new member and first-time PMI-NYC attendee, LOVED Bernardo’s presentation and already started talking about it to others in her asset management world. Well done! (PS — I’m stealing the card trick ice-breaker. Thank you Bernardo!) Karen Fox, PMP, CSM Monday evening, June 4, Bernardo Tirado presented “The Top Ten Leadership Characteristics for Project Managers” at a chapter meeting of the New York City chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI)©. The fact that the meeting was very well attended demonstrates the importance and interest in this topic. As a member of the 2012 PMI Leadership Master Class, I found Bernardo’s presentation to be directly on point. I came away with some new information to supplement what I have learned in the class. It was no surprise that the Number One leadership characteristic was Relationship Management. Bernardo began with an interactive exercise demonstrating the importance of direct and open communication, and kept the audience engaged throughout the presentation. Karen Fox, PMP, CSM President Emeritus, PMINYC Robert J I enjoyed the presentation. Some very helpful insights for PMs.
